Refinishing

As an antique refinishing tradesman for over half a century, many fear I am an endangered species, and rightfully so. That may be due, in part, to the misguided notion that the local home improvement center makes everyone equal. And while it’s true that many old world techniques from the 18^th century have given way to modern tools, materials, and the desire to achieve beauty in wood almost instantaneously, I make every effort to restore and preserve those old world ideals in all my work endeavors, as seen in these “before and after” examples of what can still be accomplished in the disappearing and soon to be lost art of antique restoration.
