Restorations
I am a strong believer in recycling and repurposing old furniture and antiques through restorations. Some advocates feel it is unacceptable to alter an antique piece of furniture. But I disagree, especially when the alternative is either the landfill or the fire-pit, simply because a piece of furniture has no place in a modern home environment, or has outlived its usefulness due to having fallen into such disrepair as to make it what some might consider unsalvageable. I have converted antique double beds into Kings, tables into islands, and pianos into headboards, as just a few examples of the endless possibilities that evolve from expanding one’s imagination.
