This oak table was no longer suitable for this family’s needs and a kitchen island was called for. Since the table had sentimental appeal, it was converted into this solid oak island. There is a bank of doors on one side, a cabinet door on the other, and corbels supporting the over-hang where bar stools sit. The top retained its original inset tiles. The piece was stained and finished in satin lacquer.
